The Flying Dutchman
The FLYING DUTCHMAN
by Joe Gentile & Giovanni Timpano
According to folklore, the Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship that can never go home, doomed to sail the oceans forever. It is seen from afar, glowing with a ghostly light. In tales of the sea, the sight of this phantom ship is a portent of doom.
In 1940, Germany invaded the Netherlands, and very quickly and viciously, all Dutch resistance was squashed, inclyding the entire Dutch airforce.
However, since then, there have been sightings of a ghostly plane with Dutch markings. This plane has been sending Nazi fighters to their doom, and somehow escaping without a scratch.
