In a world where perception is everything, one man, skilled in the arcane arts, uses his talents to combat the greed, treachery and injustice that threatens to crush our society under its heel.

Mandrake, a master of illusion, gestures hypnotically and his foes begin to see and believe, that through the use of his mystical powers, the magician can reshape reality to his will.

Mandrake's best friend and constant companion, Lothar, an intimidating wall of muscle, stands at nearly seven feet tall. However, just as with Mandrake's illusions, appearances can often be deceiving. Raised as the King of Seven Tribes in Africa, Lothar's more than just the strongest man on Earth. His political savvy, razor sharp intelligence and quick wit make him more than a match for anyone with villainous intent.

Lothar once asked him why he does such things and Mandrake responded, "A wise man once told me, "Failure to act in the face of evil, is an evil action all in itself"."

Continuing in the tradition begun by Lee Falk in 1934, Mandrake the Magician modern adventures continue inside the pages of Moonstone.

When asked why he was so drawn to the character, writer Mike "The Phantom" Bullock had this to say: "There are far too many so called heroes in the pages of comic books these days who have simply forgotten what the word 'heroic' means. As with The Phantom, Lee Falk never forgot this when penning tales of Mandrake, and Mr. Falk's successor, Fred Fredericks hasn't either. To be selfless and heroic is to be a true hero, and something I feel moved to chronicle within the pages of Mandrake and The Phantom. Mr. Falk began a great tradition over seventy years ago and, thankfully, I have the opportunity to continue that tradition for many years to come."
